This is the homepage for the forthcoming "Festkolloquium" in honor of Rüdiger Göbel, professor of mathematics at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Professor Göbel's field of expertise has changed over the years from theoretical physics (general relativity theory) to the theory of modules over commutative rings and model theory. In particular Abelian group theory has been a focus of his interest in recent years.

The Festkolloquium in honor of his retirement will therefore focus on these subjects with talks by many algebraists and physicists from Germany and abroad.

The Festkolloquium will be held on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th of April 2009 at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Campus Essen, T03 R04 D10.

You are very welcome to participate!
